Monday, November 6, 2017 - Second go round with this wine. Adding some complexity from first try nearly six months ago. Definitely benefits from an hour plus decant. Dark purple in the glass. Nose of dark fruits, cedar/oak and cherry. Rich, round mouth feel with flavors of cassis, vanilla, earth, tobacco and black licorice. Acid, tannins and alcohol not fully resolved, so further aging should bring these elements into line. Excellent QPR for those who are willing to wait a bit longer.
