Thursday, April 5, 2012 - The Magic of The Rhône, Le Petit Sommelier. Light gold. Ripe citrus fruit, rhubarb, marzipan, lemon blancmange, scented flowers, oaky vanilla and a touch of honeycomb. Medium body, very rich fruit with a honeyed edge. Palate mirrors the nose in complexity and profile. Nutty, concentrated and with an oily feel this is almost chewable. The richness is balanced by medium + acidity. Marsanne in all it's beauty.
