Friday, December 25, 2015 - Much more fascinating than its score would suggest. Faded brick/ruby color, lovely aged Graves nose of tar, candied red fruit, mushroom and leather.
Perfect balance in the mouth; smooth and sweet, but nice acid and structure. Surprisingly the tannins are still quite noticeable. Slightly bitter and metallic aftertaste and a fairly short finish, which let things down a little.
A privilege to taste overall though. If you open one, drink it fast.
