Friday, October 17, 2008 - This Lynch-Bages has a nose of harsh beetroot with little hint of fruit. The palate is very tannic at first (typical of a -75 I'm told). The taste does not follow the nose, but reveals instead some cocoa and even sweet fruity flavours and gentle notes that the nose definately lacked. The long taste is good and balanced. The wine is still evolving and it got better and better with aeration. The last drops three hours after the bottle had been opened were the best.
