Saturday, April 30, 2016 - First of 12 from an OWC. Great level for 50 yrs old. Still quite dark like HB from 80s. Immediately open upon first pour. Immediate cigar box and dark, tarry fruit. Classic HB! Definitely some quite "advanced" forest floor aromas and a touch of green peppers but all in a good way! Mid-weight on the palate as it should be. Superb balance and freshness. 30s+ length of complex secondary and tertiary fruit, leather and T'n'A. Incredible stuff at 50. Holding up better than my 50 year old friend (just kidding)...
