Tuesday, September 4, 2018 - Dark garnet. Red and dark fruit, oak (vanilla, smoke), tertiary (earth, game, moca). Developing. Dry palate, medium + acidity, high, grippy, chalky tannins, medium + alcohol and body, flavours similar to the nose, med finish. Wood dominates this wine, and the tannins are really high and grippy. I’m not convinced this is going to come round. It’s good quality, but lacks the balance and depth and complexity of flavour to be anything better.
