Saturday, November 28, 2009 - Decanted two hours, enjoyed over two. Smoke, root beer on the nose. Red fruits on the palate, cherries, raspberries, a hint of sage and savory. Very smooth mouthfeel. Good long finish, punctuated by a shot of bracing acidity midway down the throat. Very enjoyable bottle of wine, paired wonderfully with seafood risotto.
