Friday, April 20, 2012 - At opening this had a traditional but strong pinot funk. While the funk muted over 2.5 hours, it remained as a presence but in an unobtrusive manner. Red cherry, strawberry and faint black cherry aromas and flavors, but not much in the way of tannin or strong structure. No cola, a plus for me. Very brief finish. As others note, this is a nice wine, but it's clearly at/past its peak and not one of dumol's finer offerings, though I really did enjoy it upon release. Drink up.
