94 Points

Saturday, July 14, 2007 - Not quite as overtly fruity as the DuMOL RRV Pinots from the past several years, but it's still pretty packed compared to most other producers' generic bottlings. The nose shows a range of alluring sandalwood, spice, and raspberry, followed by a palate of cherry, herbs, and oak. The spicy, herbal finish is nigh eternal, which is one of the main reasons why I've rated this so highly. All told, it's a well-executed wine: it's ripe but not hot, and concentrated but not in your face. I wish I had more of these for the long haul. (Tasted twice, on 7/14/07 and 10/6/07, with consistent notes.)
