Friday, May 11, 2012 - Still dark, but starting to show sings of age. Great nose of dark fruit, cedar and a whiff of vanilla and licorice. On the palate it's quite lively and interesting. Good balance of oak/cedar, vanilla and dark fruits. Blackberry, cherry and spices play well with the acid and tannins. The finish is a bit chewy with the tannins gripping on for one last fight with your tongue. I like this one.
