Monday, February 22, 2016 - An interesting experience! First time tasting a wine from the famous 1945 vintage in Bordeaux.
The wine clearly peaked a long time ago; I'm guessing 15-20 years. However the nose was still very interesting with its essence of Medoc: earthy notes, cigar box, cedar....
On the palate, the fruit is clearly gone and you are left with acidity and remnants of the fruit. Still a nice experience
