Tuesday, August 9, 2022 - Stood up overnight. Decanted off sediment for 1.5h then back into bottle. Drank over 4 h with Javier and Inoke. From memory. Took about 2h in bottle to really get going. Grilled meats, ripe cherries and blackberries, some iron, and some black olives on the palate. Full body with medium+ tannins. Definitely a nod to the N. Rhone but also definitely California fruit. Lacks some depth and complexity but accessible now. I suspect that the wine will open up and integrate more over the next 5 years or so.
