Thursday, February 14, 2013 - This is an awesome wine. Period. Along side the Langoa Barton 2000, the Leoville Barton hits a notch above on all counts - nose, palate, and finish. When I think of Bordeaux, this is on a short list of definitive examples. So much depth, and yet weightless. So powerful, and yet silky. So expressive of its terroir. So perfectly integrated. So perfectly balanced. So seamless. Awesome.

2/16/2013 7:39:00 PM - Granted I've been drinking cognac tonight, but I say "Hell Ya." I see lots of this at auction for less than LP or LB of Paullaca, and want to jump in so bad. It's just a costly time of the year. I think leoville Barton ages as well as any Pauillac, and such a great tariff. To bad my '09s won't be in until April. Maybe in another 20 years. Next year I may actually order from Premier Cru, if I have to wait this long. Nice notes and totally concur.
