2001 Château Léoville Barton

Community Tasting Note

Friday, April 4, 2014 - Decanted for 1hr. Very classically styled bordeaux. Still tastes young. Typical notes of blackcurrant, cedar and tobacco. Elegant and finely balanced with relatively well integrated tannins. Let down somewhat by a shorter finish. Did not evolve significantly over a 2hr dinner. Enjoyable now but still has a decade or more left in it.
