The nose offered up dark red and black fruits, earth, some cedar and some tobacco. These dark red and black fruits dominate the medium bodied palate, along with some earthy notes and touches of spice and tobacco. The acidity is nicely balancing and the tannins are completely integrated, making for a very smooth drink. This wine is ready to go, and should hold for another few years.
