Saturday, July 3, 2010 - I think this is an excellent glass of wine. I haven't had a super-second in a few months, and this bottle reminds me how wonderful the more celebrated Chateaux can be. A good, but not great, vintage; but an excellent drink. A bunch of terroir and typicity on the nose; and smooth and round on the palate. Sweet tannins, with most of the usual suspects in the flavor profile -- sweet tobacco, bright fruit, and earth. Acid may be high; it tasted a bit tart. The finish is also smooth, but of no remarkable length.
