Saturday, May 22, 2021 - I haven’t had that many St Estephes, but my frame of reference always goes back to Cos D, and while this Montrose is smooth, black fruit, showing beautiful tertiary notes, it lacks greenness, minerality was a little light, and the finish was medium +, it’s a wine that “could have done better” in terms of intensity, but still very good all the same
