A pretty decent showing with classic at estephe nose of pencil lead, anise, peppery, blackberries and other black fruit. Slightly austere on palate with dryish tannins but not harsh. Structurally a bit light as well with a short plus finish.

A classic BdX maybe from another era and from a tough vintage; don’t think much upside from here but still a good wine and should remain nice for a while.
