Monday, April 17, 2006 - Decanted for 1 hour. Deep garnet color to the rim. Expressive nose with cassis, plum, blackberry, vanilla, cedar, and alcohol. Much more approachable than I remember it being two years ago with medium to full body, lots of black fruit, earthy espresso, nice acidity and full tannin. A nice glass of wine, but I can't imagine the fruit will ever come into balance with the high alcohol or tannin. Many better wines at this price point.
