Thursday, December 7, 2017 - So young it is actually slightly purple, but it is lovely and shiny looking. The nose is light and youthful - a dew wet cherry: crunchy and slightly metallic. There is a hint of pepper and orange peel. On the palate it is full of cherry, milk chocolate and actually pretty juicy and crunchy. It is no monolith. It is supple, agile and medium bodied. There is a hint of bitterness to the fruit and the finish is more an expression of sourness than a kiss of silky fruit and tannin. At half the price it would be very good. As it is, it is certainly no disaster given the vintage. Very well made and with enough acidity and fruit to go for 10-15 years.
