Friday, August 30, 2019 - What a find. Ristorante La Finestra in Siena is selling this in the half bottle at significantly less than you can get it anywhere at retail. Round and robust nose. Dark chocolate, liquorice and vanilla. Slightest rum and raisin hints. Just the faintest Eucalyptus.

Real harmony of fruit on the palette, Cherry, raspberry, ripe green Tuscan plums, secondaries of caramel, blackberry coulis. Elegant and grin-inducing finish. Really surprised at how balanced and easy-drinking this was, even at this young age. It has the structure to go the distance though, it’ll be extraordinary in 5-10 years.
