Friday, August 5, 2016 - Quite a dark ruby color. Possibly some shade of purple in there, but none of the "old Rioja" brick tint. Plum and dark berries in the smell. Taste is balanced, with a pleasant acidity, lots slightly unripe fruit, and an almond-like nuttiness. Very complex and interesting... But more importantly, surprising and refreshing, especially for a Rioja.
