86 Points

Wednesday, June 14, 2017 - Pale lime green color. Somewhat restrained and quite green-toned nose with aromas of grass, some starfruit, a little bit of cantaloupe and a hint of papaya. Ripe and medium-bodied on the palate with high acidity and the slightest tingle of carbonation. Juicy yet very focused flavors of steely minerality, ripe yellow apples, some cantaloupe and a hint of stony minerality. There seems to be a touch of residual sugar, giving the wine smooth mouthfeel and a balancing touch of richness. The finish is quite long, fresh and pretty dry with ripe flavors of apples, some cantaloupe, a hint of bitterness and a touch of steely minerality.

A simple and a bit straightforward yet nice and thoroughly smashable Vinho Verde with relatively high ripeness and richness for the style. Nothing really remarkable, but perfectly enjoyable on its own and lighter entrées. Solid value at 8,45€.
