Sunday, January 8, 2023 - Subtle aromas of graphite, cassis with a mineral edge and the floral lift of blueberry. The palate does have tannins which are a tad dusty at this stage but it got better the longer it was in glass/decanter. Definitely needs food to lift it and something with a bit of fat or richness. I think this still has at least 3-5+ years life as the fruit is still fresh and it hasn’t developed many tertiary characteristics bar a little leather and forest floor. I gave it about 1-2 hours in decanter before serving and I suspect it would improve further with time should we have any left!
