Wednesday, August 16, 2006 - 4/5 stars. One of the best of J.Lohr's estate series wines. Attractive nose of leather, dried berry, flower and spice. Smooth mouthfeel with refined tannins followed up by cherry, clean red to dark berry fruit, and peppery undertones. Easy-spicey finish that lingers. Evolves well with time. Plays nicely with others. Looking forward to day 2.
