Wednesday, October 5, 2016 - The nose was gorgeous, showing dark red berries, floral perfumes, and spice. On the palate, I found elegant, soft textures with notes of dried cherry and inner floral tones, yet there was something missing and left a notion of dilution. It finished dry on red fruits and gruff tannin. I was hoping for more here, but unfortunately it appears that the Gramolere fell into the category of heavily perfumed but somewhat uninteresting 2012 Barolos.
