Wednesday, October 5, 2016 - The Monvigliero was on a whole different level from the rest of the lineup. Here I found a heavily perfumed yet perfectly balanced display of bright cherry complicated by sweet spice, rosy floral tones, minerals and savory herbs. On the palate, I found silky textures with dark swirling red fruits, at times raspberry and at others times strawberry, followed by inner floral perfumes, minerals and an energizing wave of acidity. The finish was long and remarkably pretty with floral-tinged red fruits and lasting minerality. This wine is gorgeous.
