Thursday, August 21, 2008 - An absolutely superb ribera del duero - had both remaining bottles with our dinner club as part of a Spanish themed dinner featuring my paella. Not decanted but opened for four hours. Very bold and fruity nose w some chalk. Inky black, smooth, bold, well balanced and complex. Primary flavors connsisted of dark cherry, chalk, terroir, leather, tar, tobacco and black pepper. Highly recommend this wine but probably too expensive to be a really great QPR.
