Day 2. Some green chili aromas emerge on day 2, maybe it’s just pulling aromas out of the room. Maybe it’s the American Oak? Palate is plein. Tannin is medium. I could drink this all day. Pizza and tofu and sweet corn.
Blackberry fruit starts to pop out, needed a little bit of air I imagine. Blackberry, red bell pepper. Starting to kick!
Noted as dry warm winter, early growing season, spring storms, low yields. Warm summer, Sept harvest. From Monte Bello, 60 tones from 41.7 acres. 81% Cab Sauv, 16% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cab Franc. 13.5% ABV.
