92 Points

Sunday, October 17, 2004 - AP #9-03. Slight green tinge to an otherwise clear wine. The nose was explosive as soon as the glass was raised off the table. Clearly very young, but approachable at this stage since it does not seem to have closed down yet, the palate hits you with a slight spritz and refreshing, crisp acidity. Sweet but in nice balance with the acidity. The aromas and flavors included peaches, pears, other yellow fruits, candied citrus, melon, pineapple and minerals. The great purity of a Fritz Haag wine was evident in this full bodied and unctuous offering, the Haag signature concentration and power mixed with a delicate nature there for all to see. A long finish ends the experience, one which will only get better in time. 50+13+12+8.5+8.5 = 92+.
