The nose was impressive with minerals, blackberries and plums, but somehow turned medicinal and herbaceous rather quickly, and also lacking the opulence and intensity of the first bottle I had. Decent structure on the palate, but again the wine seemed to fade rather quickly, drying out with tea, tobacco leaf and old wood. The bottle variation here was very significant.
