Tuesday, January 27, 2009 - Dark color with little bricking. Bold dark fruits, more than I usually get from La Chapelle - raspberry jam, spice, gamey notes. Volatile, and teetering on the edge of the mature/old boarder. Somewhat austere, and uplifting but slightly funky acidity to the finish. Medium body, but clean in its approach. Enjoyable.
