Wednesday, October 25, 2017 - 5 oz. pour at West Indies Wine Company in Grand Cayman. Always a special treat to taste a quality wine before buying. Served chilled. Dark garnet red in the glass. Nose of dark fruits, cassis, wood and eucalyptus. Cherry, blue fruit, cola, white pepper and pine nut flavors and a medium-full mouth feel. Structured and tannic texture with a moderately long finish. Consumed very young so secondary flavors and nuances had not yet developed. Beautiful wine that should develop into a cellar-worthy offering at this price point.
