Wednesday, December 6, 2017 - Frankly, this wine is an abomination, and an insult to the long history of great Howell Mountain wines which, over time, reveal complex high elevation acidity balancing rich dark fruit in an elegant structure. This wine is the antithesis: overripe, near caramelized dark fruit, really a candied wine, freakish and manipulated to impress with power, sweetness and concentration, without grace.
