Friday, November 24, 2023 - “Ready to go” style nose which marks a mature Bordeaux: cigar, leather, undergrowth, plum and a little smoke.

Beautiful attack on the palate where the 25% Merlot acts as a shock absorber. It’s flattering on a black fruit with a nice grain on the palate. Then the cabernet takes over with a little pepper, spices, leather and dried herbs. Good balance but the acidity will have a little difficulty in relaunching the wine over the course of the tasting. Good finish on the undergrowth, dried leaves and discreet cedar on a correct length. The wine will still tend to decline towards the end.

Good Bordeaux but lacking breath in the second half of the mouth.
