85 Points

Saturday, July 11, 2009 - Straw yellow rim. Moderately aromatic wine with a surprisingly exotic nose of pear, light citrus, hawthorn... noticeable leesy aromas, subtle barrique spice/malo/minerality. On the palate the wine is dry, has moderate + acidity, a very full and fleshy midpalate, adequate phenolics to hold the relatively short but fine finish... moderate alcohol. Very good balance, moderate - length, intensity, and moderate + complexity. All in all a very well made village level Chassagne, especially from a textural and finesse point of view, that is at its peak.
