Friday, January 7, 2022 - I'm always a Paul Blanck fan after meeting Frederick by chance and discovering his wines in Kientzheim. The wines are always complex so hard to nail down but this one to me is showing some tropical floral, citrus and always plenty of mineral with decent acidity good balance. They have many different soils within their GC plots and they blend, the grapes take up a lot of minerality. It is not a super dry Riesling GC like many others around the area, but of course dry compared to the Pinot Gris which is also great. It definitely opens with time and start it cold fridge temp and let it gradually warm up to ideal.

Showing no signs of slowing down I think good now and another 5 years maybe longer I don't have long term experience with Alsace.
