Saturday, October 21, 2017 - Real special. First 30min was rough with slight cherry and sulfur aromas. After it warmed and breathed a tad it became something fabulous. A full, sappy textured wine with persistent acidity and elegant, complex aromas. Nose shows earth, licorice, cherry, tar, herbs...the whole mountain nebbiolo spectrum. Taste is very sappy and long, sweet cherry and a gorgeous aftertaste of rose petal and red licorice lingering in the back of your mouth. Super sneaky tannin that really coats the back of your tongue.

Should age gorgeously for another ten years.
