Wednesday, September 7, 2011 - Tasting Riesling at Jos. Christoffel Jr. (Ürzig, Germany): Apple and mineral scents show lightly on the nose. The wine is lovely and clean on the palate, with ripe red apples and a touch of spice showing immediately . The apple flavors fill out on the mid palate becoming fully delicious. The acidity hits the sides and makes my mouth water as the apple flavors continue to linger. A hint of honey on the mid palate adds a touch of richness. 92+
