Monday, November 23, 2020 - Flower Day - Pale lemon core. Citrus, crushed rock (yay!), white flowers, oyster shells and lemon zest on the nose. Crisp, dry and mineral affected on the palate. Terrific citrus, saline, and not quite ripe pineapple flavours on the palate along with some lemon zest and a touch of pink grapefruit. Lovely! There’s nothing terribly complex about it but it’s exactly what it should be - a very, very nice Chablis. Marked below 90 because of the lack of complexity but it’s perfect for the meal.
