Sunday, May 21, 2023 - PnP. I’m not a fan of this excessively extracted, over the top, very ripe, “fruit bomb” style. However, like all things in life, there is a time and place for everything…tonight, it was the spicy, slow smoked chicken, and jalapeño ranch beans. The food really saved this wine. Unfortunately, this lacks balance: all fruit, little structure, and no finish. Without the spicy food, this would be a complete flop. Drink now. Still 82 points.
