Tuesday, July 3, 2012 - Opened and poured - a light ruby with some oranging. Dusty nose of cherry cordial liquor, leather and must. Light bodied, with mature if not thin fruit and finish. Nose is the most interesting component of this wine at this age. Flavors of currant, cranberry and cherry on the slightly acidic backbone. On day two has gained a little on the palate, offering a smoother profile of darker cherry and some residual sugars. Pleasant.
