- Primary aromas of red cherry, black cherry and black plum
- Secondary aroma of vanilla
- Tertiary aroma of mushrooms
- Dry palate, medium (+) acidity, high tannin, pronounced intensity
- Same flavours as on the nose, now also leather and dried meat
- Finish is long
- Balance and complexity are excellent, overall quality is very good
- There is still primary fruit and some freshness, drink now or in a couple of years, will not improve with further ageing
