Friday, February 4, 2011 - Consumed at the house in Wailea.
Decanted for three hours. Violet, ruby and garnet, with a lightening and blushed rim. Tobacco, graphite, rose petals, cedar and marinated meat. The aromatics grabs me the most. Long and captivating, with micro-fiber tannins that still have presence. A prudent and enjoyable Las-Cases. I'm sorry, this is outstanding, however, not as mythic or classic as some have claimed. Don't get me wrong, I would enjoy this any time and there's still a long life ahead. A nice floral note on the finish. Drink now - 2028.
