Tuesday, April 24, 2012 - Decanted for two+ hours then drank over the next two with grilled ribeyes, morel mushrooms in butter and garlic, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, green salad. Dark, inky color. Somewhat reluctant nose of cigar box, leather, dark fruit. Thick in the mouth. Palate was slightly monolithic red and dark fruit. Tannins sweet and getting integrated. All in all, a pleasant and enjoyable experience not quite as memorable as I expected. It is still fairly young. May be going into a dumb phase. Will try one of my other bottles in a few years.
