Monday, December 28, 2020 - Opened on Xmas night 4-5 hours ahead of dinner. Strong aromatics of pencil shavings, graphite and lead. Evolved slowly over the evening and put the other half away until 2 days later over lunch when it became a different animal and lived up to the hype. Tannins resolved and was very smooth and long aftertaste. Went superbly with the Australian ribeye. Maybe needs some more time but hear there is a lot of bottle variation unless bought ex-chateau which this was not.
