Saturday, October 6, 2018 - I seldom see wines produced during the war years. All things considered, this was better than expected. Light in weight, the wine was more interesting on the nose than on the palate, which offered elegant, refined textures, without much concentrartion, depth or length.

10/6/2018 9:53:00 AM - Wine was produced at every Classified Growth and probably at most of the larger, well-known, Right Bank vineyards during the war. I've had Lafite and probably a few other bottles over the years. If this is of interest to you, read Wine and War.
