Wednesday, January 2, 2019 - We let this breathe all afternoon (4+hours) so take that into account. This was an excellent wine, think the breathing took some of the sharp edges and alcohol nature of Lodi wines off the table, a good thing. It tasted to me like an excellent muscular Pomerol or St Emilion (Merlot and Cab Franc), but while mouth-filling with tastes of red maraschino cherry and oak, it was quite elegant and had a long finish. Had it with steamed lobster and king crab legs with ghee (clarified butter). Wow, wow.
