Monday, March 7, 2022 - Slightly better than the last one but it is what it is. The nose is quite attractive, with honey, lemon and quince aromas. Quite full-bodied and round in the mouth, with decent flavours of pear, citrus fruits and honey, but again, slightly flabby. It really lacks the acidic tension Clos de St.Yves used to have. Some will welcome the soft accessibility but personally I prefer the fresher, crisper style favoured by the new breed of winemakers in Savennières.
