COLOR: Beautifully brilliant, lemon/honey/gold.
NOTE: I was enjoying this when Stacy brought out the ripe pineapple chunks for dessert. UNBELIEVABLE! I had this wine pegged with ripe pineapple from nose to finish, but this is the first time I could determine that this was a lock. INCREIBLE!!! Mouth is less elegant than in prior years but it's still very rich, creamy, full of butterscotch-laden pineapple, lemon oil, biscuit, a little raw edge. The finish is more of that great pineapple (in case you were wondering) but it's a bit overripe now and the vanillin dominates. Still, this was one of the best runs in a great Chardonnay that I've had the pleasure of experiencing to date. Congrats to Bill Hunter and his team.
